shipping, returns, and repair info
shipping
ready to ship items will be sent out within one to three days of ordering. made to order items take time to make and will usually ship within two weeks. basically, IF YOU DON’T GET A SHIPPING NOTIFICATION WITHIN three business DAYS, KNOW THAT I AM CURRENTLY MAKING THE JEWELS AND YOU’LL HEAR FROM ME SOON!
i ship domestically via usps. you can either choose ground advantage for $7 or insured priority mail for $14. PRICES INCLUDE PACKAGING AND HANDLING. i do not currently offer international shipping, apologies!
if you need an item made and shipped faster, please reach out to me before placing the order.
local drop-off in the oakland is available. if you choose this option, I will email you when the order is ready to go and figure out an exchange time. if MONEY IS SUPER TIGHT, I UNDERSTAND! REACH OUT AND I’LL GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT CODE FOR FREE DROP OFF.
I cannot be responsible for lost/missing/stolen packages if you didn’t choose to insure the package. if the package is insured, we may have to work together to contact usps and file a claim. i will do what i can to help you in the event that happens!
all packaging materials come from Papersouce, usps, and ecoenclose. anything else i use to ship jewelry is more than likely something i have saved to reuse. all printed papers (business cards, jewelry cards, etc.) are printed with moo.
returns and exchanges
if for any reason you are not satisfied with the product, please email me!
you may return it within seven (7) business days after contacting me for a refund, not including shipping costs. the refund will be issued once i receive the item in its original packaging and condition. i cannot issue refunds for custom pieces. if the item doesn’t look or function the same way as it was sent to you, you may only receive a partial refund. that partial refund is up to my discretion depending on the state of returned products.
exchanges are generally excepted, but please email first. contact me at hellobeccacompton@gmail.com
repairs
with proper care, your jewelry should last for many years, but there are limits to its durability. if you require a repair, please contact me with a photo and a description of what happened and i will happily fix up what went wrong. repair fees may apply depending on what happened.
the box chain i use for the deneb and capella necklaces doesn’t always survive a big tug. i hate saying it’s delicate because i’ve had my capella necklace for several years now without breaking the chain, but i know it has snapped on a few folks! and shit happens… if the chain snapped at the soldered point/clasp area, I’m happy to fix that for freebies, but if the chain breaks elsewhere, I do ask for $10 to replace it - just to help cover the cost of the chain/labor. thanks for understanding!!
